The trend of the annual Net Primary Production was calculated using
pixelwise least square statistics. The map shows the strong
greening up trend in the central Sahel from 1982 to 2004. The
small figure shows the shift in the isoline for NPP = 72
together with the N-S shift in the 300 mm isohyet for Burkina Faso
